2017 Eastern Buying Conference Sees Boost in Attendance

The 2017 Eastern Buying Conference, held April 1-2 at the Hilton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was met with a storm that shut down airports, including Newark Airport, and delayed flights, causing the show to get off to a rocky start. In the end attendees were able to arrive safely, and the 2017 show was expanded to accommodate additional booths. Overall, attendance was up, according to show organizers.

During this year’s event, manufacturers and manufacturers reps got to enjoy valuable networking and visiting time at an informal get-together Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday, attendees enjoyed breakfast and lunch as usual, and doors opened at 9 a.m. The relaxed setting allowed for quality interactions amongst attendees and exhibitors alike. Exhibitors reported key sales as a result of exclusive deals offered at the show. Show participants enjoyed a Saturday night dinner followed by an after party with DJ Mister Mike, held in the Hilton’s Private Dining Room. Attendees that preferred watching the Final Four games were not neglected, as space was reserved for them right next door in the Hotels Bergen Social Restaurant.

Beauty Store Business will be sharing additional show coverage and photos in its July, 2017 issue.

The 2018 show will be held at the Hilton Meadowlands, Saturday and Sunday April 14 and 15.
