Manufacturer of multicultural beauty and personal-care products Ampro Industries—also the maker of Ampro Pro Styl hair gel and new Shine 'n Jam Silk Edges—has added the starting point guard for the WNBA Tulsa Shock, Ivory Latta, to #TeamAmpro, which includes celebrity ambassadors entertainment entrepreneur MeMpHiTz and singer Antonia "Toya" Wright.
With a goal of supporting a healthier lifestyle for its consumers, Ampro Pro Styl is being positioned as the go-to brand for consumers who desire to keep their hair looking good while staying committed to an exercise regimen. As a result, Ampro specifically sought Latta as a professional athlete dedicated to healthy living.
"I am deeply honored and humbled to become an ambassador for Ampro, a company that shares my commitment to being the best and my dedication to giving back to the community," says Latta.
Latta will serve as one of the faces of #TeamAmpro and be featured in the global advertising campaign for Ampro's new Olive Oil Styling Gel. Ampro will also be supporting her efforts as a role model in the community, sponsoring, among other things, her upcoming Summer Basketball Camps for Girls in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Atlanta.
"At Ampro, we are impressed with Ivory's efforts to inspire her fans to be healthier and more active. Her work with the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and in the WNBA will help spread the message of the importance of fitness and exercise in the community,” says Henry Rudner, CEO of Ampro Industries. “The values that help top athletes such as Ivory excel are the same values that help people excel in other fields as well."
This summer, Ampro is participating in the Memphis Business Journal's Social Madness Competition. Winners receive $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice. In support of Latta’s work, Ampro's charity of choice is the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
