Mario de la Guardia, president of Strength of Nature Global, oversees an ever-growing empire that boasts 10 brands in the multicultural market—all produced in the company's 250,000-square-foot facility in Savannah, Georgia. With 200 employees and a presence in dozens of countries worldwide, there's no denying de la Guardia has a finger on the pulse of his target consumers, African-American women and Latinas. In fact, thanks to recent acquisitions of three brands from Unilever, his business is now expanding to a second shift, operating 16 hours per day to meet demand.
Beginning July 1, OPI's Suzi Weiss-Fischmann is transitioning from the roles of co-founder and executive VP to OPI consultant.

Cosmoprof North America, which was recently named No. 103 of 2013's Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States by Trade Show News Network, will be providing a social-media conference for the upcoming 2014 show, scheduled for July 13-15 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The professional-beauty trade show moved up nine spots from its ranking as No. 112 of the Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States in 2012, per TSNN—a trade show industry news source. CPNA was recognized for its consistent growth in net square footage.
"My grandfather had a terminal disease. We were prepared for the loss, says Ronda Wilkin, CEO of Beauty Bus Foundation. Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna recorded an estimated 7% increase in attendance this year, with 207,238 visitors, and an approximate 21% increase in international visitors. In addition, there were 2,450 exhibitors from 69 different countries and 24 national groups.
