Small Business Saturday Kicks Off Nov. 28

In its 6th year, Small Business Saturday—which follows Thanksgiving every year, and kicks off national holiday shopping days, deals and the shopping season—will take place Nov. 28. The annual event was created by American Express in 2010 to support small businesses, which create jobs and boost the economy.

American Express Helps Small Merchants Fight Fraud

American Express has launched its Small Merchant EMV Assistance Program, following President Obama's announcement last October.

The nationwide campaign will help U.S. small merchants fight fraud through a $10 million-reimbursement program designed to accelerate adoption of EMV payment terminals. It will also arm small merchants with knowledge about EMV’s security benefits.
