Forty-seven percent of U.S. online shoppers of beauty and personal-care products have shopped more frequently in 2014 than 2013, according to a study out Dec. 16 from A.T. Kearney. “Beauty and the E-Commerce Beast: 2014 Edition” lays out the results of a consumer survey of online beauty and personal-care shoppers.

Mintel: U.S. Launches of BB Creams Jump Nearly 50% in One Year

The color-cosmetic category has grown by about 13% since 2008. However, expectations for growth are building as the Asian market’s BB creams popularity catches on in the United States, according to new research from Mintel, a global supplier of consumer, product and media intelligence.

In 2013 alone, BB creams in the U.S. market have seen a nearly 50% increase in product launches over 2012.

Private-equity firm North Castle Partners, which focuses on investments in consumer-driven product and service businesses that promote health, wellness and active living, has made an investment in Palladio Beauty Group in partnership with its CEO and owner Philip Solomon. Terms weren't disclosed.
