That’s right—one of beauty’s hottest brands has named a male model, actor and social influencer as its first-ever brand ambassador.
Nick Bateman is now the “face of beauty” for the award-winning beauty brand from The Estee Lauder Companies Glamglow. And therein, likely, lies the biggest hint as to why Glamglow chose Bateman. Not only is Bateman easy on the eyes (which is sure to please Glamglow’s predominantly female customer and fan base), but he carries major social clout, to the tune of more than 6 million Instagram followers.
And actually, it already has. Bateman hinted at his partnership with Glamglow, ever so slightly, on an Instagram post, that subsequently garnered more than 1 million views. With that viewer response from a simple post that read: “Coming soon (winking emoji) @Glamglow #GLAMGLOW” (paired with a fun, sexy pic), Bateman boosted Glamglows brand recogntion right out of the gate.
For the record, his beauty (or grooming) regimen did not get him the job. Bateman has been quoted as saying he’s got a very low-maintenance regimen, that consists mostly of getting his beard trimmed and using dry shampoo to add volume to his hair, though he does use Glamglow’s Volcasmic moisturizer.
