Wearable hair accessories manufacturer HairUWear has welcomed a new vice president of global sales to its staff, Jason Lumsden.
Lumsden’s industry credentials span 15 years, including national chain and distributor salon experience, as well as international exposure within the HairUWear industry.
His senior-level experience includes sales, marketing and operations. He previously served as national sales director at Colomer Beauty Brands, where he led a team of 13 regional sales and education managers in charge of multiple professional haircare brands in the United States. He has also handled the international expansion and sales push for Abba. His other brand responsibilities included American Crew, MOP, d:fi and Orofluido.
"I feel privileged to be part of the HairUWear team,” said Lumsden. “During my career, I have been exposed to every level of the beauty industry, from distributor sales to store operations, and I cannot think of a more relevant and exciting business to join at this juncture than HairUWear."
HairUWear’s market, the alternative hair category, has more than doubled in size over the past decade, with U.S. sales estimated above $2 billion. The company’s iconic brands include Raquel Welch and Gabor, Great Lengths USA, Hairdo, Dancing with the Stars and Put on Pieces.
