Beauty-industry veteran John Heffner has joined OPI Products as its new president and general manager. Founder George Schaeffer remains CEO, and Suzi Weiss-Fischmann retains her titles as executive vice president and artistic director.
“We’re thrilled to have John join the OPI family as the nail industry is absolutely booming," says Schaeffer. "OPI has been experiencing double-digit growth both domestically and internationally. In welcoming John, Suzi and I will be able to increase our focus on growing the brand both from an innovative standpoint and in new markets. We’re not going anywhere; we plan on being at OPI for years to come.”
Heffner will manage the day-to-day operations at OPI’s North Hollywood, California, headquarters working alongside Schaeffer.
Schaeffer—who will continue to travel for the company—will primarily target ongoing development, globalization and the visibility of the OPI brand.
Weiss-Fischmann will continue her role in leading the company’s artistic direction.
Most recently in the beauty industry, Heffner served as president and CEO for CND, where he worked for 14 years. Previously, he held multiple sales and marketing roles within Chesebrough Ponds USA as well as Procter & Gamble.
