Available for free download at the Mac Apple Store, "My L'Oréal Colorist" initially prompts users to select either "Scan a Shade" or "Find a Shade." The first option allows shoppers to use their mobile devices to scan the UPC bar code of the L'Oréal Paris haircolor product/shade they're interested in, while the second option allows both at-home and on-the-go users to dive into a short questionnaire before learning their shade recommendations.
In addition, the app provides consumer ratings, reviews and details on a range of L'Oréal Paris' haircolor products. Users can also use the app to share recommended shades on Facebook for feedback from friends before making their purchases.
Consumers currently have five L'Oréal Paris haircolor brands—available at drugstores, food and mass retailers—to choose from: Superior Preference, Excellence Creme, Feria, Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color and Sublime Mousse by Healthy Look.
