03.03.10 Beautopia Announces New President
Neil Riemer has been named president of Beautopia, the parent company of salon-products company Brocato.
Riemer is a longtime executive who has served as president of Armstrong McCall and is a founding officer of Sally Beauty Holding Co. He will begin his duties with the company on March 15.
“I have known and worked with David (Kunin, CEO of Beautopia) for more than a decade. His view of the industry and his business acumen are unique and compelling. Couple that with Sam Brocato’s passion, talent and brilliant career, accepting this position is a no-brainer,” said Riemer. “The consolidated nature of our industry has done much to stifle creativity and impede the growth of stylists and new ideas. I believe that, in Brocato, we have the requisite personnel, talent and resources to begin a period of growth such as the beauty industry has not seen for some time,” concluded Riemer.
Kunin added that the company has product launches planned for the next year in foreign and domestic markets.
