Thirty-two percent of women tried a new haircare product in 2014, according to a recent Beauty by the Numbers report from The Benchmarking Co., a beauty and personal-care research firm.

The study reveals top haircare products and brands, as well as haircare and hair product-buying habits. Its findings were reported as follows:

DermStore opened its flagship store in Hermosa Beach, California, on March 19. It boasts an expansive retail selection of products synonymous with DermStore online, as well as a hair salon and a spa featuring treatments from brands such as Decleor, Eminence, Phytomer and YonKa.

It's Day No. 9 in ULTA's 21 Days of Beauty!

ULTA Beauty is nearing halfway in its 21 Days of Beauty event at its 450 or so locations across 43 U.S. states and at the beauty retailer's website.

The annual event, which began March 11 and lasts through March 31, focuses on fresh-faced, spring looks and corresponding free gifts-with-purchase, beauty tips, complimentary in-store consultations and demonstrations from top beauty-brand experts.
